11-07-23 | After several lauded appearances in The Mandalorian, Jedi Knight Ahsoka gets het own series. The official trailer to the Disney+ series has just been released, giving us a taster of this highly anticipated Star Wars series. The shows produced by Kathleen Kennedy have thus far been hit and miss, but Rosario Dawson’s portrayal of the legendary Jedi has been well received. It’s a good omen for Ahsoka, which will premiere in august of this year.
Ahsoka first appeared in animated form as part of the Clone Wars animated series, created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni. She was voiced by Ashley Eckstein, and would become a regular in many Star Wars animated series to follow. Filoni, along with Jon Favreau, has now spun his animated creation into a fully fledged live action series. The show will also featured the live action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a key villain in Star Wars’ expanded universe.
