20-06-23 | Sony add another Spider-verse title to their roster of live-action films. Kraven the Hunter is the latest in a line of movies based on supporting characters from Marvel’s Spider-Man comics. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, well known for his work in the magnificent dark superhero comedy Kick-Ass, takes on the role of the infamous big game hunter bored with hunting down predictable targets.
In an effort to compete with Disney’s Marvel franchise (and retain their rights to Spider-Man by doing so), Sony and Columbia Pictures have been producing Spidey spin-offs for quite a number of years now. Some, like Morbius starring Jared Leto, failed to impress audiences. While others, such as the Venom films with Tom Hardy, turned out to be quite popular. Wheter Kraven the Hunter will deliver the goods is up to you! Should the trailer impress you, be sure to seek out the film in October of this year.
